I’m a pretty big fan of Mary’s work but recently in an interview she said a few things that make me think shes out of touch with her fan base. Now Mary J Blige has never been one to shy away from showing off her expensive lifestyle but now that she claims to be a born again Christian does she really have to justify her expenses by saying God wants her to bling?
Mary J Blige explains, “My God is a God who wants me to have things. He wants me to bling. He wants me to be the hottest thing on the block. I don’t know what kind of God the rest of y’all are serving, but the God I serve says, ‘Mary, you need to be the hottest thing this year, and I’m gonna make sure you’re doing that.’”
